This policy explains how ROYALCHESS Pte Ltd (“ROYALCHESS”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data when you visit royalchess.sg, apply for coaching or contact us. We handle personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
What we collect
- Application details: the information you submit in our coaching application form, such as the parent’s or guardian’s name, phone number and email address, and the student’s name, age, chess experience and goals.
- Messages: anything you send us by WhatsApp, phone or email.
- Website usage: basic, non-identifying information about how the website is used, such as pages visited, device type and approximate location, collected through Google Analytics and Google Ads tags.
Children’s data
Many of our students are children. We ask that information about a child is provided by their parent or guardian, who consents to its use for the purposes in this policy.
How we use it
- To review applications and decide whether our coaching is the right fit
- To reply to enquiries and arrange, schedule and deliver lessons
- To tell existing students about group courses during school holidays
- To understand how the website is used and improve it and our advertising
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for any purpose you have not consented to.
Who we share it with
We only share personal data with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Google (Google Forms for applications, Google Analytics and Google Ads for website statistics, and Google Maps for the embedded map)
- WhatsApp and Zoom, when you message us or take online lessons
These providers may store data outside Singapore. We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies from Google Analytics and Google Ads to measure visits and the effectiveness of our ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the website will still work.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, or as required by law, and then delete it securely.
Your choices
You may ask to access or correct the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to its use, at any time. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide coaching. We will respond to requests within 30 days.
